Pod2g may release iPhone 4S Untethered Jailbreak next Week!!

Just two days after Christmas the iPhone developer pod2g released the much awaited untethered jailbreak for iOS 5.0.1. This jailbreak, however, wasn’t compatible with the new A5 processors and thus there was no jailbreak for iPhone 4S and the iPad 2. For all of you waiting for the A5 untethered jailbreak you will be glad to know that in a recent tweet, pod2g, gave out some amazing news to the Apple community. He tweeted that he’s been working on an untethered jailbreak for A5 devices and expects a public release as soon as next week.

The Apple iPhone 4S hasn’t got any kind of jailbreak as of now, but the iPad 2 did get an untethered jailbreak on iOS 4.3.3 via JailbreakMe 3.0 from Comex. Now though, things are getting better for both iOS Devices and we can expect an untethered jailbreak from pod2g and the iPhone dev-team as early as next week.
Perhaps, the iPhone dev-team will package the jailbreak in the next version of RedSn0w or Corona untethered for iOS 5.0.1. All we have to do now is wait. The untethered jailbreak for iPhone 4S will also help in the development of the Siri port to older devices, which would be wonderful.
Have you been waiting for the iPhone 4S and iPad 2 untethered jailbreak on iOS 5.0.1. Let us know what’s going on in your head right now!

  1. Apple iPhone4S far has not been any kind of escape, but did not get a iPad2 JailbreakMe3.0 unrestricted escape from the New York Mercantile Exchange by iOS4.3.3. But now things get better for the IOS device, we can expect from pod2g an unrestricted jailbreak iPhone development team as early as next week.
